Watercolor Birthday Barn

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have another birthday card.  This image is one I've wanted to use
for years!  It is an image released by The Angel Company in 2011.
The artist is Phyllis Harris, who draws for Unity Stamps now.

Watercolors seem to be really hot right now
so I found some on Amazon which are really amazing.  They are from
The pigments are really bold for watercolors.

Penny Black - Blooming Garden

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have a fun card that uses a tiling technique.
I happened to be looking through some card images I saved for inspiration
and saw this technique again. It is very simple to do.

I stamped the poppy image.
This image is from Penny Black Blooming Garden.
This was my first Penny Black stamp purchase.  It is a clear stamp set,
you never know with clear stamps how well they will stamp.  These were really nice and firm and gave a crisp image.

I stamped the poppy image on a white piece of cardstock 2-5/8 x 4-1/8",
then colored it with Copic markers.  I cut the image down the center (1-5/16") and in 3 equal pieces (1-3/8") lengthwise.
Then I layered it on some smokey shadow cardstock 3x4.5", leaving a 1/8" border to give the tile effect.

The base card is 5.5" square.  Sentiment is from Biblical Impressions.
I also made a couple using 'Thinking of You' and 'With Sympathy'.

A Day for Daisies - Beauties

Happy Saturday!

I made 2 birthday cards this summer using 2 of my favorite
A Day For Daisies images.  The first image is 'A Braid in my Hair'.
This card was made for my sister.

My second card uses the same layout, different AD4D image.

This is Pearls in my Hair, which I thought was perfect for our
niece's 16th birthday.

Happy Anniversary

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have a card made on my Scan N Cut machine.
I saw something similar on Pinterest but did not have the dies, so
I created the heart cut pattern on my machine.

I used notebook cardstock from Amuse Studios and cut
3 hearts of various sizes using my Scan N Cut machine.

I added the stitching around the hearts with a black pen and
the Happy Anniversary sentiment.  Then backed the front panel
on red polka-dot paper with pop dots.

One last embellishment of a ribbon and the card with finished.

I used this same design for Mother's Day cards too.
